1. Controller
The controller responsible for data processing on this website and on the dinekit platform is:
OSBoard GmbH
Bahnhofstrasse 45
4622 Egerkingen
Switzerland
Email: info@dinekit.app
For further details see the legal notice. If you have any questions about data protection, you can contact us by email at any time.
We process personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
2. Hosting and data location
The dinekit platform – website, back office, database, mailboxes and backups – runs on servers of Hetzner Online GmbH (Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany) in data centres in Germany. Your data therefore stays in the EU.
3. Visiting the website
When you visit our website, the server processes technically necessary information (e.g. IP address, date and time, requested address, browser type) in order to deliver the page and keep the service secure (e.g. to prevent abuse). This information is not combined with other data and is not used for advertising.
4. Cookies and local storage
We do not use tracking or advertising cookies and do not embed any third-party analytics services. Only what is technically necessary is stored: when you log in to the back office, a login token is saved in your browser’s or the app’s local storage so that you stay logged in. It is deleted when you log out. Your browser’s language setting is only read to show you the matching language version of this website; it is not sent to us. If you choose a language yourself, your browser remembers this choice in local storage.
5. Contact form and email
If you contact us using the form or by email, we store your details (name, restaurant, email address, phone, town, message) in order to handle your enquiry and get in touch with you. The data is not passed on to third parties and is deleted as soon as it is no longer needed for handling your enquiry and no statutory retention obligations apply.
6. Customers of the platform
For restaurants using dinekit, we process the data required to provide the service (e.g. user accounts, website content, menus, reservations, mailbox emails, billing data). We process data of restaurant guests (e.g. reservations) on behalf of the respective restaurant; the restaurant is responsible towards its guests.
7. Payments via Stripe and PayPal
Customers who pay their invoice via PayPal are redirected by a link to PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., 22–24 Boulevard Royal, L-2449 Luxembourg. The invoice number and amount are transmitted to PayPal; PayPal’s privacy policy applies to the payment. We receive the payment confirmation from PayPal.
Payments by card, TWINT, Apple Pay or Google Pay are processed by Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd., 1 Grand Canal Street Lower, Dublin 2, Ireland. Stripe receives your name, email address, the amount and the payment details, and stores the payment method for future charges if you choose this. We do not store full card details. Stripe’s privacy policy applies.
8. AI features (Anthropic)
For the platform’s AI features (e.g. website builder, copywriting, translations) we use the service provider Anthropic, PBC (San Francisco, USA). When a restaurant uses an AI feature, the content required for it (e.g. a description of the restaurant, texts to be translated) is transmitted to Anthropic for processing. No data of visitors to this landing page is transmitted to Anthropic.
9. Your rights
You have the right to information about the personal data we hold about you and to have it corrected, deleted or its processing restricted, and – where applicable – the right to data portability and to object. Please contact info@dinekit.app. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority (in Switzerland: the FDPIC).
10. Changes
We may amend this privacy policy if our services or the legal requirements change. The version published on this page applies.
